Having designed a few Children’s Gardens and the things that go in them, and all the hand-wringing that went into those designs, this is something that was not considered:
Thrills is right . . . can you imagine the uproar over this one. It’s obvious that this would not fly in today’s environment. If you were actually crazy enough to install something like this the only question would be this . . . who’d show 1st? The PC crowd or the personal injury lawyers.

My hope is to use this site to spread some info about the art and practice of Landscape Design. It is a very misunderstood profession; I do not cut grass like the next door neighbor's cousin who carries 3 mowers and a blower in the back of his truck.

Actually, the plastic version of this can be found in various playgrounds, including the public Memorial School playground in East Brunswick, NJ. It is a lot of fun, and the girl in that picture is a lot better at balancing on that than I am.
I have seen it at a few other playgrounds but can’t remember where.
We drive around trying new playgrounds (because there are no sidewalks where we live so it’s not like we can walk to any playgrounds).
