Some Interesting Sites (2)

Here’s a list of links that I have come across the past few day which you may find of some interest.

  • A resource for LA’s there is plenty of stuff for the LD here. Look down a post or two to find the post on Carbonmade, a new way to display images on your website. They’ve blogged 51 post this year so the site is active.
  • Are you into fractals? Check out Benoit Mandelbrot’s Wiki page and look for the links to the fractal sets.
  • Le territoire des sens is a blog about all things creative. Lots of stuff on art and architecture, especially installation art. I know some of us get the opportunity to aork with/against/ and around installation artist so you may find this site interesting. it’s in French, but a lot of external links take you to English sites. Lots of inspirational art and images here.
  • Blog for/about Google SketchUp. Some nice external links here,
  • Ross is a Landscape Designer and Blogger in Durban, Kwazulu Natal. Which caught my interest and lead me to go surfing through his blog to learn about landscape design from a completely different perspective. It’s different but as we know . . . good design is good design. Some of Ross’s formal work . . . nice job.

  • Another stone stacker gets his day in the sun Justin Zaremskiis in New York and the local paper wrote up a nice story and included some images. I’ve  included this link as a way of saying if you want some free local press . . . go out and stack some stones.
  • Into Greek Mythology? Then I have THE site for you. I think everything you could possibly want to know is here. You could really spend a lot of time here. I mean a lot of time . . . Welcome to the Theoi Project, a site exploring Greek mythology and the gods in classical literature and art. The aim of the project is to provide a comprehensive, free reference guide to the gods (theoi), spirits (daimones), fabulous creatures (theres) and heroes of ancient Greek mythology and religion. Enjoy, I know I’ll be going back for more. This is a direct link to the sculpture gallery. A great resource and source check on statuary.
  • How about some really fun stuff?
