wcichop, chop, whispering crane institute, rick andersonThe Whispering Crane Institute was originally formed to act as the umbrella organization for the Philosophy of Design Symposium and other seminars and workshops given by Rick Anderson and Richard L.Dube’.

In the year 2000 WCI became a sole proprietorship owned by Rick Anderson. We work out of our World Headquarters in beautiful East Central Ohio.

The building respect for this industry is also my passion and commitment to all the great Designers in history who have come before me, and my small chance to help those coming along behind me.

Today the WCI provides design and consultation services for Landscape Contractors, acts as a “Green Industry” think tank, providing training for others in the form of workshops, seminars, and individual consulting.

Maybe your group needs a day of intensive design work, or improving rendering skills. Maybe a outdoor classroom, or trip to Hocking Hills.

The WCI also provides written material, opinions, case-studies and how-to articles for industry trade magazines.
